About

About IAS.

International Automation Solutions is an industrial automation integrator and machine builder in Evansville, Indiana. We have delivered more than fifty machine builds, retrofits and support engagements for food and beverage plants, distilleries and cooperages, municipal utilities and manufacturers.

The company was built on designing and building automation machines. AI vision inspection is one capability on that foundation, alongside machine building, controls, panels and fabrication. Whatever we build has to survive the plant floor: vibration, glare, a changeover at 2am, an operator who needs the screen to make sense on the worst day of the week. So we build the whole thing.

How we work

Four working habits.

We answer the question before we quote the machine

Inspection projects die when a machine is quoted against a problem nobody sized. Our first deliverable is a technical answer, and a no is an acceptable one. It is also the cheapest thing we sell.

We keep the work that decides schedule

Engineering, controls, panels, fabrication and assembly stay in house, and most of our components are made on our own floor.

We run it off before it ships

Machines are assembled and run on our floor, against the acceptance criteria agreed before the build. Problems found in Evansville cost a fraction of problems found in your plant.

We hand over documentation, not promises

Every wire numbered, every panel labeled, as built electrical and controls documentation delivered, plus FAT and SAT records and operator training. The machine should be maintainable by your people, or it can be set up on a PM service with IAS.

The shop

Inside the facility.

We operate from a 130,000 square foot manufacturing facility on 4.5 acres in Evansville: a UL 508A panel shop, a fab and machine shop with welding, machining, waterjet cutting and sheet metal brake forming, and the floor space to assemble and run off complete machines before they ship.

Panels are laid out for service access and documented in AutoCAD Electrical. Weldments, fixtures and machined parts are made here rather than waiting in a supplier's queue.

A defect, a bottleneck, a panel that needs replacing, or a machine that does not exist yet. All of those are the right first conversation.
