Nothing on this website is a quotation, a contract, or a warranty. Pricing comes from a written proposal for a defined scope.

How to read the performance figures

Figures published here are measured on a running machine, taken from a component manufacturer's datasheet, or derived from those two with the derivation on file. They describe what the system has done under the conditions stated, on the product it was tested against. They are not a prediction of what it will do on your line.

Registration and trigger accuracy figures above 350 ft/min describe controls capability. Inspection at those speeds is qualified against the installed optics and lighting before it is quoted.

We do not claim, and no honest vendor should claim, 100 percent detection. Catch rates, false accept rates and false reject rates are quoted per application, after a paid feasibility study and production validation.

The calculators

The annual exposure calculator and the line speed explorer are planning aids. The exposure calculator estimates what a defect costs you at the rate you enter. It assumes no detection rate and makes no claim about savings. Both tools run entirely in your browser and should not be relied on as engineering or financial advice.

Images

Defect photographs show real physical samples, each photographed on the bench and through an inline inspection camera. Printed artwork, lettering and codes have been removed from the pouches and the substrate beneath them reconstructed; the defect features are unaltered. Marked regions in those images are drawn by hand and illustrate how a verdict is presented on screen. Photographs of equipment show IAS built machines and panels; backgrounds have been retouched for clarity and the equipment is as fabricated.

Product and company names referenced on this site, including control platform and software names, are the trademarks of their respective owners. Reference to them describes the platforms IAS works with and does not imply any endorsement of IAS by those owners beyond any partner program membership explicitly stated.

Acceptable use

You may read, print and share these pages for your own evaluation of IAS. Do not scrape, republish or resell the content, and do not attempt to interfere with the site or the systems that host it.
